Every Thai including grandma and grandpa are businessmen. Be it selling fresh sliced fruit or coconut ice cream, most Thais know how to run a small business. Almost every house can give massages, many have restaurants… there’s no red tape in Thailand unlike in the West. Bribing also helps. Thailand is a good country. Australia (where I live) has turned into an expensive, miserable politically correct shit hole.

Exactly these are the same people whos never been to Thailand or anywhere in Asia. They still believe China isn’t as advance as America when alot of their cities make ours look like run down shitholes, which they are. Even where I live where the average 1 bedroom is about $1600 a month you’ll see tons of homeless people doing drugs on the streets or even playgrounds with no police enforcement, downtown LA looks like Somalia compared to Bangkok. Thailand is a way better value for your money, a Thai person making $500 a month is living a better lifestyle than most Americans making $2,000 or more in alot of cases.

This time I can’t hold back to comment on your video. If one would take a look on the education system in Thailand, another view on Thailand occurs. The best engineers I have ever worked with were my Thai colleagues; smart, open minded solution oriented. One night we had to do a test on BKK’s new MRT; the Japanese contractor came with a tonne of test equipment and the Thai colleague designed/coded his own ardoino based system, attached all needed sensors and it worked with a higher precession. That engineer did this test preparation just for fun at home – for FUN!
This story is just one of my outstanding experiences with my Thai colleagues. 3rd world country??? BULLSHIT

In Thailand paying for health care Insurance is “up to you” Paying tax is “up to you” but if you can not work then that is “down to you” you are screwed I keep on paying my minimum Tax and social security contributions in an EU country regardless of where I am so that I will not be screwed

Every coin has 2 sides. Yes they dont pay taxes and they have big gray economy, but the result of that is bad infrastructure, healthcare, pensions etc. Because the state cant afford it. Definitively worse, than in compared Spain.

I am Spanish living in Thailand myself and I must say. Comparing both countries is just a none sense. You only took the statistics that matched your ideological conclusions in order to wash Thailands reputation. Even my Thai wife who works in a Thai goverment company is laughing at your facts.
There are better ways to improve How foreigners think about Thailand, but comparing it to any first world country is so wrong in so many ways.

Just a few extra facts to add to this excellent video. Thailand has done an exceptional job with family planning. Thailand’s fertility rate (avg. number of births per woman) is 1.5, which is lower than the UK and about the same as Germany or Switzerland (it was over 5.5 in 1970). This really helps to keep the pressure off of social services and ties-in directly to the second fact, which is unemployment. Thailand’s unemployment is a ridiculous 0.56% (2014). There’s jobs for everyone, and that helps your self-esteem and personal happiness,

I lived in Thailand few years already and the cost of living here is so cheap that almost anyone can buy food and can have a flat , yes you can see homeless people now and then but they’re just few compare to London.
